How do i melt the SWOLLEN skin near the ingrown toenail?

I have an ingrowing toenail, the skin is red and swollen without going to the doctors how can i get rid of the swollen skin myself.How do i melt the SWOLLEN skin near the ingrown toenail?
After cutting out at an angle the corner of the nail like / -and having soaked it-


Magnesium Sulphate paste(from chemist) spread on a clean piece of cloth or a gauze pad.





Alternatively Kaolin poultice can be used --directions on the pot.





Change daily if possible.How do i melt the SWOLLEN skin near the ingrown toenail?
cut the ingrown nail back....this will hurt...but you want to guide it to grow in the right spot....as for the swollen-ness....it should go away on its own after a little bit if you do this.
Try soaking it in Epson salt for about 30Min's in warm water.
