Does going to a regular doctor helps when you have an Ingrown Toenail infection?

I know the better choice is to see a Podiatrist but you've to make an appointment with one, and the wait would take about a week or more. And i don't have more time to waste cause i've missed out on 6 papers of my GCE examination papers.

So does seeing a regular doctor(which no appointment is needed) for Ingrown Toenail infection helps?

Your regular doctor will be able to prescribe an antibiotic to help heal this, but for temporary relief and to possibly help it drain, soak it in Epsom Salts. You can find them at the local drug store and they aren't expensive. any general practitioner can deal with an ingrown toenail, infected or not.
